I met him while I was walking towards my brother's room. His name is Rasheed. He seems foreign to me. He was dressed as an Indian something and was actually trying to show his sharp nails!! I didn't mean to scare him!! Very cute booooyyyyyyy!!
Here's Sam!!!
Sam is one of the nicest girls in their class! She's super smart and pretty!! She's a year older than the rest of her classmates. She was playing with the slimy thing she won from the booth downstairs.
Super kulit Joshua!!!
I love makukulit boys!! Joshua is one of my brother's closest classmate. Super makwento and makulit!!! His tita kept telling me how mischievous he is! Oh well, ganun naman talaga mga boys eh!
I wasn't able to take the pictures of the other kids since they were all busy catching bubbles.
And oh, when I was still a skinny elementary girl I went gaga over this thing!!
October 22, Friday. Happy 22nd wedding anniversary to Paps and Mams!!!
So let me tell you something about my parentals.
PAPS.
Ikaw na nga ang may iphone 4!!
Occupation: Lawyer School graduated: Far Eastern University, Bachelor of Arts in Pol Sci; Bachelor of Law Age: 37 right Paps? Hahaha!
Question: So how is it like to have a father-lawyer?
JC Pelagio: Well, it's both frustrating and satisfying!! Frustrating, because when we have gimiks to ask permission for, Paps can pull out ALL his reasoning skills in one sitting. It's quite useless to argue with him because arguing and analyzing other people's reason is so, so, so much part of his daily life. I sometimes find myself writing down my reasons in a pad paper so I am fully equipped! Hahaha! Satisfying, since Paps can be really, really galante. Just ask and you shall receive.
Q: How's Atty. Pelagio as a father?
JC: A father during the weekdays, family driver during weekends and a friend at all times.
Q: What's his favorite past time?
JC: Hahaha I am so dead when I share this but Paps often go home late due to his usual videoke nights with his lawyer friends!! You see, he is a big lover of music! And oh, he loves to sleep!
Q: Is he strict?
JC: In terms of what? In gimiks, he can be. So what me and my siblings do is arm ourselves with reasons that can top his. With boyfriend and suitors, not really. As long as you tell him who the guy is. In general, not really.
Q: Being the daddy's girl that you are, why didn't you take up law in college?
JC: That's a classic question from relatives and friends right there!! I have so much respect for Paps and his career. I would like to put it this way.. As an individual, I know my strengths and weaknesses. Given that, I feel that what I have will not be enough to excel in a profession that asks more than what I can give. Di naman sa wala akong tiwala sa sarili ko, but I'm just being real. Besides, I also want to establish a Pelagio in a different field.
Q: Is your dad supportive of your profession?
JC: Yes! He actually talked me into nursing so he really has to support me!! Hahaha! Seriously, I'm thankful that my parents are not impatient with my being unemployed. They trust and support me with my plans.
Q: Any message for your dad?
JC: Hey Paps, I love you!!!
MAMS.
Mams!!!!! :)
Occupation: Project Managaer, Phil National Red Cross PDAF Department School Graduated: Araullo Lyceum, BS Commerce Age: 52
Question: Your Mom works as?
JC: Mams is currently employed at the Phil National Red Cross as Program Manager under Sen. Gordon's PDAF project. Prior to that, she worked at TLRC.
Q: She's a budding entrepreneur right?
JC: My mom has her heart towards business. She has her own line of laundry soap before. Before, she used to sell clothes and her famous maja blanca! I think she has plans of putting up her own business by next year!
Q: Is your mom strict?
JC: Definitely not!! She can give you her go signal in an instant!
Q: Is there anything you would like to share with everyone about your Mom?
JC: Let me see. Mams loves lipsticks!! She can go out without any powder or eye shadow, but not without lipstick! She is currently trying out ballroom dancing as exercise. She makes the best maja blanca in town!! Mams has issues on my weight. SHE TELLS ME, MAG EXERCISE KA NGA! ANG TABA TABA MO NA! Hahaha!
Q: Are you close to your Mom?
JC: I'm closer to Paps. But it doesn't mean that I don't share issues with Mams. I love them both!
Q: Message to your Mom?
JC: Mams, I know how hard is it to conceive and bear a child and for that, I am so, so, so thankful that you decided to give me life! I love you!!
AND SO WE CELEBRATED AT OUR FAVE CHINESE RESTAU, HAP CHAN!!!!! :)
Happy Monday! Geez! It's another week again? Wow!!
Haven't been blogging since I've been thinking a lot lately. About my future plans. So yeah, I don't get to receive any "Ano ba yan?!" comments. Because it's all about my future!!!! Let me start by talking about my first love.
My high school friends maybe quite surprised when I announced that I'm going to take up nursing in college. You see, they've known me as the actress slash reporter-wanna-be for four years!! They might be thinking "why oh why?". I kinda found myself asking the same question few years back.
Before I learned to love nursing, I loved COMMUNICATIONS FIRST. It'll always be my first love. No matter what! My nursing admission is a classic story. Flashback to 2006, I was playing with the thought of taking up Communication Arts in UST. (I didn't pass UP Broadcasting Comm and I was late for the ACET). That time, I would say "anong work makukuha ko dun?". So, I need to apply somewhere else. My Paps recommended a nearby school. Being the Papa's girl that I am, I gave in. They are only offering medical related courses so I just had to choose from three. Paps talked me into taking up nursing, and without any further thinking, I applied. Poof! Next thing I knew, I was already paying my tuition fee!
It was heartbreaking to leave communications. REALLY. All my life, I've always dreamed of becoming a reporter or a tv host. I am always giddy when people say I speak well or I connect well in the audience when I speak!! The happiness is just awesome! In high school, we had a newscasting competition where we won. I had the time of my life when I wore that black blazer and skirt! Feeling reporter talaga! As for its final task, we had to read a spiel written in a cartolina. We never had the chance to pre-read it so it really is a challenge on how you'll break down the phrases, the intonation and the likes. Thanks to my theater background. Oh yes, I was once a school stage actress! I was also asked to host our prom for two years! That is the first ever major hosting job that I was able to do!
I kept the invitation!!!
Don't get me wrong ha? I don't have any regrets with nursing. I learned to love it and saw the fulfillment of taking care of sick people. All I'm saying is that, my love for communications will NEVER DIE. I would gladly take a work communications related but will forever be grateful to my nursing diploma. Four years is four years! :) To boot, I even got cum laude honors plus a clinical award. So yes, I loved nursing :)
More on my communications experience!
I also got the chance to host some of friend's debut. And my happiness when their relatives tell me "you're so good!" is overflowing!! :) I blush too. And as you can see, I'm practicing my writing skills on this blog! I need more practice.
I am also proud to say that I am a lector-commentator in our parish. It's my simple way of saying "Thank You, Lord!" for the gift of speaking :) I would like to think that He makes me good all the more!! :)
First love never dies. If you can see my face right now, I'm wearing an ear to ear grin, PRICELESS.
So if you got any job there for me, I will gladly take it!! :)
I was cleaning my room the other day and saw several notes and mementos.
Cute right?
A really good friend of mine gave this to me in high school. I forgot what the occasion is. Hahaha! He is a superb artist! To the highest level ang galing! This is made from plaster of paris and I don't know how his amazing hands made it to look this awesome! I've always loved this gift and so I kept it a special place. Renz was my best guy friend (or atleast used to be) and I miss him when I see this. Miss you!
Super dirty whiteboard! Hahaha!
The writings has been there since I knew I passed (August 27) and since I got crazy cheering for the Tams (don't know the exact date). I've been using it since 4th yr college where I jot down my to-do-list and deadlines! I am a schedule freak and I don't like messing my schedules. It doubles as a motivation board too :)
New Year Plans? Hahaha!
I love writing down what I'm looking forward to or what I want to achieve. With God's grace, I was able to graduate with honors and it was one of the most fulfilling experience EVER!! It's always good to be appreciated.
Awwwwww. :)
This note comes with a special gift inside! (It's a volleyball figurine hehe:) I was Head of the Graduation Pictures and I was tasked to plan and work on the faculty pictorial in our school. I was asking for signatures here and there, skipped some classes to supervise the pictorial and to make sure the professors are doing good. It was really taxing! But thank God things went smoothly. To cap it off, Ivana gave me this! I love you Ivana!
OMG!! From my sportscaster idol, Jessica Mendoza!
I was itching to get my photo-op with her!! I asked her for the pic first. After a few minutes, I asked her for this autograph! Thanks to Timmy who had spare paper and Hannah for the pen! I am not so ready! Hmm, wrong grammar ba? When I asked her for the photo-op, she said, "Do I smell like beer?" She must have drank some beer na pinaligo sa kanila sa dug-out after Ateneo won in Game Two! Hence, the grammar. Hahaha! Doesn't matter. That's her handwriting and I love her! <3
FOR TIMMY!!!
I borrowed this Chalk Mag from Timmy during the Testimonial Breakfast. It was with me for a long time already but never had the chance to return it to her since when we watch games, it was a hassle to tag along a magazine that needs not to be wrinkled! Game Two came and it was raining. Again, di ko dinala. We were assuming already that we will still see each other in Game Three!! Hahaha! But the unfortunate event happened. Now, we don't have reasons to see each other. I was asking her when can I meet her so I can return the mag. And she said she's going to give it to me nalang as a remembrance of our UAAP togetherness. Awwwww. I'm so touched!
Can you see the A?
When you get inside the Big Dome, the ushers had to give you a stamp. Dati kasi yung parang bilog lang ung isstamp. So I was wondering, ano ang A na 'to? That A is for Upper A pala! Hahaha! I thought it's A for Ateneo side! Hahaha!!!
